PERSONAL AB REVISIONS!!!
AB 43-(Increasing the Jury List) This AB proposal requires public utility companies to provide a customer list to increase the # of potential jurors.
WHAT NEEDS REVISED? I believe that we need to have a volunteer jury duty list, which would be composed mainly of retirees, those who are unemployed, disabled, and non working mothers…ect. We also need to have stricter restrictions against employers, who do not pay for jury duty because they either work the late swing shift or the graveyard shift. For example, You can not expect a juror to serve jury duty all day and then be expected to turn around and work the graveyard shift that night with no sleep.
AB 124-(Cell phone use while driving) This AB proposal has no real substance because it only prohibits teens from using cell phones while driving a motor vehicle.
WHAT NEEDS REVISED? Technically, the only ages that this AB would pertain to is only from the ages of 16-19 years of age. The vast majority of cell phone accidents involve adults, which is why this AB proposal should pertain to ALL drivers for everyones safety! Adults should be leading by example anyway and this law was created for PR purposes and actually has little substance at all!
AB 171/AB 383-(Hiring of illegals) This AB proposal would revoke the business licenses of those employers who hire illegal aliens.
WHAT NEEDS REVISED? What really amazes me is this is a major GOP platform issue and I have been criticized for is wanting to work on some type of temporary immigration reform proposal and I support important legal and ballot questions to be printed in Spanish for legal purposes. This is a true double standard because many of the GOP business owners who are leaders with the Party have hired so many illegals within their businesses that you would need a calculator to add up the totals. (This is yet another PR proposal) I believe that illegals that have criminal backgrounds need to be deported immediately and that we need to work on some type of immigration reform proposal for illegals for accountability purposes. Believe it or not, I wrote several letters to various South Florida newspapers that were printed when I went to college there. This was done way back in 1984 and I mentioned the need of closing our borders along Mexico and to stop Cuban immigration as well all to no avail. 24 years later, we have over 10 million illegals over here and if they all left at once it would cripple our country.
