Good Bills to Supoort
GOOD BILLS TO SUPPORT!!!
VETERAN/MILITARY BILLS-AB 10, AB 93, AB 104, AB134, AB 159, AB 162, AB 183, AB 448, AB 486, AB 587. AB 607, AB 610
REASON-Anytime that you can give back some support towards those who served or are currently serving our country it is worth endorsing!!! I wish that we could do more at the State level, but our overall support is limited!
CHILD WELFARE, PROTECTION AND SAFETY BILLS-AB 15, AB 45, AB 72, AB 73, AB 147, AB 188, AB 261, AB 263, AB 292,
AB 293, AB 299, AB 299, AB 305, AB 344, AB 353, AB 377, AB 405, AB 410, AB 507, AB 520, AB 522, AB 525, AB 536, AB 574, AB 579, AB 596, AB 620, AB 623
REASON-I am a firm believer in supporting our children, which represent our future. Therefore, anytime that you have a Bill to give them support that is great! However, I do not believe that it is the governments job to raise your children as well. Therefore, deadbeat parents should be held liable for neglect and pay the entire expense for having social services take over this responsibility, not the taxpayer.
ENERGY/ENVIRONMENT BILLS-AB 135, AB 184, AB 186, AB 217, AB 222, AB 228, AB 259, AB 274, AB 285, AB 288, AB 295, AB 296, AB 302, AB 325, AB 331, AB 338, AB 341, AB 343, AB 425, AB 426, AB 430, AB 447, AB 453,
AB 466, Ab 469, AB 539, AB 573, AB 622
REASON-Having grown up in a rural, wooded area in northern Indiana I have learned to appreciate nature and the environment. When I was running for Indiana District Representative I had the State Legislatures adopt my environment/ hazardous waste proposal, despite having lost that election! Although the GOP platform is against government regulations against resource development, the mining industry is a good illustration to the importance of environment watchdog groups because of their constant toxic emission violations.
WHAT NEEDS REVISED? The overall media coverage has been very bias in favor of the dealers on this very controversial, publicized issue. I have a very good friend, who is a Wynn Dealer himself, and he states that this tip sharing idea is not that bad at all. He works at another strip casino and makes more money at the Wynn even with tip sharing than at the other popular casino. I never witnessed one single news report that represented the side of the Wynn management staff. He says that their supervisors are very supportive, very customer and employee oriented, and truly help bring in the good tip revenue. The bottom line is that the casino and the employees need to have the rules set down ahead of time in regards to how they are going to get paid. .Therefore, both parties are at fault to this controversy, despite the media coverage.
AB 487-(The Las Vegas 51s Bill) This AB proposal would eliminate the LET tax for minor league baseball events.
WHAT NEEDS REVISED? This is yet another PR proposal because the Tucson Sidewinders are relocating in Reno, so this was a popular media event with legislation. Personally, I am a long time hockey fan and supporter of the Las Vegas Wranglers, an actual Las Vegas winner, so I believe that the LET should be eliminated from minor league hockey event in the state of Nevada.
