Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the closed beta test for its highly anticipated real-time strategy game StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty^TM  , has begun.

Thousands of gamers around the world have started to recieve invitations from the company to participate in the first phase of he beta test. Testers will be able to play the multiplayers version of the game to provide feedback on balance issues but will also get a first look at the brand new revamped Batlle.net service which will be the online platform for StarCraft II, World of Warcraft^®, and future Blizzard Entertainment^® games.
